Talkshow
Communication Ltd offers clients four areas of practice.
Our learning practice includes one of our Signature Workshops, The
Perpetual Pioneer.
In addition to
the Perpetual Pioneer, we offer individualized solutions for
all aspects of learning and talent management.
The most
important skill for high performers
We haven't
worked out why people don't talk more about the importance
of learning. Perhaps it's because so many
ideas about learning come from negative experiences at
college or high school.
The first
thing you do when you start a new job is learn. And
the more senior you become, the more important your ability
to learn, and learn fast, becomes.
Our learning
practice has two levels to it. First, we look at how
learners can become more efficient at learning. This
is to help them perform better in their role. Second,
we work with professionals to help them facilitate learning
better which includes trainer development programs and
talent management.
Learning to
learn better
Talkshow's
signature workshop, The Perpetual Pioneer, takes the
attitude that life, and forging ahead, is all about learning.
The more you
understand about the way you learn, your learning style and
the barriers that hinder learning, the better you can
perform and achieve success.
Helping
others learn
We run a
number of 'train the trainer' courses. We don't go
for the two-day workshops teaching people how to stand in
front of a group and use a flip chart. That was a hit
in the 1970s.
Today, when we
help trainers become powerful teachers, we first look at the
principles of training, identify where their values as
educators are, and then help them build their own successful
practice as a trainer.
The emphasis
throughout our 'train the trainer' courses is on critical
self-reflection. After all, if trainers aren't great
learners, how can they expect others to be?
Using critical
self-reflection, we examine educational psychology and its
impact in the training room. We look at various
delivery tools available and analyze their effectiveness.
All this
translates into practical exercises designed to instill
confidence and equip trainers with a degree of critical
awareness so they can continually learn and adapt their
performance to the needs of their organization or clients.
Managing
learning
We help people
run training. Our faculty of associates has experience
running training operations with budgets from $500,000 to
$8 million.
We are
experienced at delivering large change projects, having
managed massive training roll-outs, advised in
organizational change and workflow development.
If you're
running a training department, and need help in setting up
processes, we can help.
