Julia Bicknell
Julia is a
seasoned journalist and communicator. She’s clocked
up more than 25
years as a journalist and performed global communication
consultancies for a number of international organizations.
Julia works
with Talkshow in a number of practice areas. These include:

As
a practitioner
Julia started
at the BBC as a studio manager and went on to work as a
reporter, producer and presenter.
She worked as
a foreign correspondent in Pakistan for The Daily
Telegraph and Vietnam for the BBC. She has been
an international and national reporter in both radio and
television.
Julia
Bicknell’s radio credits include having worked on the BBC’s
flagship current affairs radio program, Today
(radio), and popular Woman’s Hour.
She’s
also written, produced and presented programs on the BBC’s
global radio service, BBC World Service.
Her TV credits
include the BBC’s global television service, BBC World, and
News 24. BBC World has a global audience of hundreds of
millions.
Julia worked
on the acclaimed Simpson's World, Europe Direct
and specials such as the Post 9/11 feature.
She was also
part of the team that launched the BBC’s News 24 – Britain’s
domestic rolling news TV service.
Julia has
conducted a number of consultancies in global communication
strategies. Clients have included the UN Food and
Agriculture Organization and The European Commission.
As
a trainer
Julia left the
BBC in 2003 and started a practice as a global communication
and media trainer.
She
has carried out consultancies in global communication
strategy for the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization as
well as the European Commission.
She has worked
as a national journalism trainer across both radio and
television in Sudan, Afghanistan and Kosovo.
Julia joined
Talkshow’s Faculty of Associates in 2006 as part of our team
working for Ifra on the intensive multimedia training
project at London’s
Daily
Telegraph.
Julia has a
diploma in Coaching from the Oxford and Cambridge
Examinations Board.

Julia doesn’t
just have loads of experience as a professional
communicator. She’s also a passionate trainer who loves
helping people learn.
