Jonathan Halls

Jonathan Halls is a seasoned communicator with corporate executive experience leading people and multiple teams from different disciplines.  He’s also been a talk show host and communications manager. 

An experienced adult educator, Jonathan is passionate about the intersection of communication, innovation and learning for future success in a rapidly changing world.

Jonathan is currently Managing Director of Talkshow Communication Ltd, the company committed to helping clients improve their communication, innovation and learning performance.

Prior to this, he was a Learning Executive at the BBC where he ran the corporation’s prestigious Production Training Department.  He was responsible for delivery of the BBC’s training in all aspects of television, radio operations and new media (multimedia). 

Jonathan Halls has worked as a media executive, journalist, talk show host and communications manager. 

Jonathan earned both a Bachelors (B.Ed) and Masters degree (M.Ed) in adult education from the University of Technology, Sydney.

His leadership interests are at the point where innovation, communication and learning intersect.  His media interests are in the future of media, and leading change to develop skills and mindset for digital media.

Jonathan Halls has trained people from companies as diverse as Disney, Sky, UK Ministry of Defence, Financial Times, NPR, Daily Telegraph, Volkskrant, Oxford University Press,  (US), UK, Singapore and Australian Governments and the BBC. 

The many international conferences Jonathan has spoken at include The International Newsroom Summit (Paris), Singapore PR Conference, American Society of Training & Development Conference, (Annual conferences in Washington DC 2004, Orlando 2005, and Atlanta 2007,) National Restaurant Association Educational Forum, and Streaming Media (New York). 

Jonathan has written numerous articles in academic and professional journals. 

He recently won an award in Atlanta for an article he wrote on academic and professional partnerships. 

He has written extensively and published podcasts and video casts on the topics of innovation, communication, learning and podcasting.
