Gordon Lamont
Gordon Lamont
is a veteran media practitioner who has written, directed
and presented programs on radio and television in the United Kingdom.
He’s the author of a number of important books on creativity and
confidence.

As
a practitioner
Gordon spent
many years working at the BBC. He directed single camera
educational programs for the globally respected BBC
Education Department.
He also worked
in radio, both in factual programs and drama. He was one of
the early editors of BBC Online’s education site. Today,
Gordon continues his interest in media and drama working as
an actor in BBC and other radio plays.
Gordon
is the author of a number of books. His latest book is
The Confidence Book (Sheldon Press 2007).
The
Confidence Book offers tips and strategies for building
confidence in business and personal situations. He is also
the author of The Creative Path (Azure 2004) and Work/Life
Balance (Sheldon Press 2001).
As a trainer
Gordon Lamont
works for a number of people providing training at the BBC,
London’s The Actor’s Centre, Channel 4, Hyperion Insurance,
DfES and DTI. He teaches acting, creativity, confidence and
media production.
Gordon joined
Talkshow’s Faculty of Associates in 2006 and worked with
London’s Daily Telegraph on their massive multimedia change
project.

Gordon has
extensive professional experience across the media; he’s
not just a traditionalist but an early pioneer in the
digital interactive world.

New Media Creativity workshop when Jonathan moved on to run
the BBC’s TV and Radio Operations training department.
