These have

Chris started
helping others learn the skills of television production six
years ago.
He joined the
faculty of associate trainers in BBC’s acclaimed television
training department, and still does a lot of work for the
BBC.
Chris teaches
TV directing at the BBC for studios (multi-camera), outside
broadcast, single camera and self-shooting.

Oxfordshire, UK. His interests outside media include
railways and travel. Chris is a licensed pilot who does a
lot of flying in his spare time.
Why we asked Chris to
be a Talkshow Associate
Talkshow’s
Managing Director, Jonathan Halls, first met Chris at BBC
Training when he was running the BBC’s Production Training
department. Chris was working in the TV Producing and
Directing Unit.
Jonathan says
that Chris Tandy kept getting great feedback from
attendees. And trainees went on to produce great
television.
“That’s
what training is about,” Halls says. We don’t run courses
for fun – they have to translate into skills and performance
that help clients to do their job better.
“Chris does
just that – he’s highly professional as well as sensitive to
the learning pace and needs of the people he’s working
with."
“After a week
with Chris and his colleagues, I’ve seen novices go out the
following Monday and direct live TV.”
